With the meaning of "protecting your beloved" Kuroba Trading and Travel Service Joint Stock Company launched the program of collecting used batteries to all staffs of the company to prevent harmful effects of this hazardous waste to environment.

Most families have a dozen devices using batteries, such as phones, watches, remotes, electric bicycles ... which are increasing rapidly. However, most of us are unaware that used cells and batteries are not put in the trash for disposal as regular garbage because their toxicity is very high.

Please do not put used batteries in trash bin

DO YOU KNOW: An exhausted battery can pollute 500 liters of water or 1m3 of soil for 50 years.

Do you shiver when you hear this information?

In the battery, there are heavy metals which are extremely harmful to the body: lead, mercury, zinc, cadmium ...

Mercury poisoning directly affects the brain, kidney, reproductive system and heart ...

Lead poisoning: Lead entering the body tends to occupy all other metals in the body. For example, lead will displace calcium in the bone, displace zinc and calcium in proteins, displace calcium in nerve impulse transmission reactions, replace iron in the blood ... In summary, lead causes disorders or prevent normal biochemical reactions in the body. It causes rickets, growth retardation in children, high blood pressure in adults, damage to blood and bones, memory loss, reduced ability to think, weak kidney’s functions

Having zinc poisoning, the patient often vomits and may have intestinal bleeding, reducing the instinctive reflex, leading to paralysis.

Cadmium poisoning is prone to osteoporosis, anemia, hepatic and renal impairment, cancers and fetal defects.

If you dispose of batteries (even used one) in the trash bin, they will be burned or buried, which will pollute the air, soil and water environment. A small amount of chemicals in one battery is enough to poison an entire village.

To protect the environment, use a clean glass jar where the used cells are put into to make sure they do not affect the environment and keep it out of the reach of children. Once a year, deliver the cells directly to the garbage collector and notify them that they are used ones so that they can handle them according to regulations.

For used batteries, find a dry, clean and out of reach of children for temporary storage, and immediately transfer them directly with notices to domestic waste collectors.
